Our realtor stopped by today and snapped a couple more pictures of the house. After she was done in the backyard, she looked at me and said, "You'll have a contract by Friday." I laughed. We went around front and she stuck the sign in the yard. Here we go again... our house is back on the market. I remember from three years ago... it was such a pain in the butt keeping the house clean with one kid let alone two!
Yesterday when we were signing the contract, Carla got to the part that said if there was a fire the contract was void. We laughed nervously! Three years ago, we had put our house on the market and a week later left for Disney World. I was pregnant with Sean and Ethan was 3. The night we got to Disney, our neighbor/friend Joanne called us around 2 a.m. to let us know that our neighbors house was on fire! Did I mention we live in a townhouse! It was the first time that I boarded both the dog and the cat. The only living things in the house were the fish!
Lucky for us, it started in the end unit farthest away from us. It burned down that entire house, half of their neighbors house and the house right next to us was severely damaged with water. Joanne had let the fire fighters in our house and insisted they take their boots off at the front door. No fire in our house and only water damage in the basement. Insane!?!
We spent our Disney trip on the phone with the insurance company, our realtor and friends in order to mitigate the water damage. Needless to say, it's really hard to sell a townhouse when you are hooked to a burned out unit that reminds you of why you don't want to be stuck to someone else!
We didn't sell the house then... we'll see how it goes this time!
